Port of Whitman (S94) added
to the list of participating airports!

(Colfax, WA) The Fly Washington Passport Program welcomes Port of Whitman (S94) to the program, effective May 27, 2022.

You can find this airport in the Eastern Region. The stamp is in the mailbox on a pole near the large hangar on the west end of the airport.
Bonus Airport: Copalis State

Also on the list of participating airports: Copalis State, one of the most unique airports in the country. Land directly on the beach just feet from the surf along Washington's Pacific coast! Check NOTAMs, weather and tide information before heading out, as the runway is neither paved nor marked, and disappears when the tide comes in. There may also be people on the beach who don't realize they are parked or standing on a runway, so scout carefully before landing.

Copalis State is a bonus airport -- not required as part of the 90% minimum number of airport stamps to earn a flight jacket. However, your cool factor just might go up with this stamp in your passport book!

Visit the Passport Program Map page and click on the airport pin for details. Copalis State Airport info, including stamp location, will be added to the map as soon as the stamp is in place!

The list of airports participating in the Fly Washington Passport Program is updated frequently as new airports are added.

You can always find the latest updates on our website, including a
PDF list of all the airports that have stamps. 90% earns you a Flight Jacket!

Changes at Bremerton National

This summer will bring three separate airport construction projects to Bremerton National Airport that will each have their own set of operational impacts on PWT flight operations. Expect various and alternating taxiway closures, partial ramp closures, night closure of the runway for five days sometime in August, and other updates as the projects progress.

From now through July 5th, the preferred departure/arrival runway – conditions permitting – is Runway 02. Taxiway A is closed from the FBO Ramp Entry to A2; full length Runway 20 operations will require a back taxi on the runway.

Pilots, Please Note: Check the airport’s Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) frequently for the latest airport configuration. A design constraint of the airport’s AWOS-3 transcribed weather broadcast system on VHF 121.2 prevents verbally appending NOTAMs to the transmission. Do NOT rely on the AWOS-3 broadcast for NOTAMs information. They won’t be there.

***As always please remember, safety first. Please flight plan appropriately, and make sure your skills and your airplane are capable of completing these flights safely.

Interested in becoming a sponsor of the Fly Washington Passport Program?

Our mission is to encourage pilots and aviation enthusiasts to explore Washington's public-use airports. As a nonprofit organization, we rely entirely on sponsorship funds.

Since kicking off the
Fly Washington Passport Program three years ago, we have seen tremendous success, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm from participants and sponsors alike.

To date we have awarded 29 flight jackets to aviation enthusiasts who have collected at least 90% of the stamps at well over 100 airports statewide. With roughly 5,000 passport booklets in circulation, we know there are many Patch, Pin and Jacket winners not far behind!

Please consider joining the team of sponsors that supports this active program!  Sponsorship information can be found on our website, and our sponsors (along with links to their websites) can be found here.
