The Fly Washington Passport Program encourages pilots and aviation enthusiasts to explore Washington’s public‑use airports. Beyond motivating pilots to fly, this program supports general aviation airports, area businesses, tourism and provides flight planning, safety, and educational opportunities. The program relies on the voluntary participation of Washington’s public-use airports, pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and sponsors. The ultimate objective of this program is to increase aviation economic activity and enhance general aviation visibility.
Using an official Fly Washington Passport Booklet, participants collect “passport stamps” at enrolled public-use airports. Any licensed pilot from any state and their passengers may participate. Pilots and their passengers will earn levels of recognition and prizes as they explore the airports of Washington State. |
Why become a sponsor?
Fly Washington Passport Program Participants will be buying fuel, renting vehicles, seeking lodging, providing “operations” (takeoffs and landings) to airports, visiting museums and restaurants, paying tie-down fees, renting aircraft, getting aircraft maintenance, exploring business opportunities, and more. In addition to the direct benefits provided by participants, sponsors will receive Fly Washington Passport Program “swag” and recognition. Renewals for Fly Washington Passport Program Sponsorship will be solicited on an “as-needed” basis. This model provides additional value to the sponsor as their recognition will extend beyond the traditional one-year duration, instead of expiring in conjunction with subsequent sponsorship solicitations unless the sponsor chooses to “renew” or join as a sustaining sponsor. Sponsorship levels and a complete list of benefits are provided below.

What will sponsorship funds support?
The Fly Washington Passport Program seeks to partner with sponsors to purchase the program’s incentive awards and support program costs (Business registration, website maintenance, insurance, etc.).
